India’s Tata will buy Jaguar, Land Rover

Tata, the makers of the $2500 car will hope to purchase Jaguar and Land Rover. I can only wonder what this will be like at the luxury car dealership. Lincoln, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Tata. You can buy a car for over 200k and one under 3K all at the same place. Let’s see, Ford sells Aston Marting to Prodrive and they win LeMans. Ford sells Jaguar, Maybe Jaguar is voted best import car of the year… Land Rover, well, honestly who give a shit! I read that even Fiat was going to throw in with Tata. Man, what a shit box could come out of that mix… OR could it be genius?

Chrysler To Make Hybrids With Hemis

No $hit? Wow, what next for Chrysler? Rubber tires.

I can say hands down I am fan of the OLD REAL Hemis, but haven’t the marketing machines that come up with this crap run out of juice pushing this on us? How many cars have Hemi’s in them, $hit loads.

The original Hemi’s were a brutal motor and by all rights should not be associated with this crap rolling out of the marketing machine today.

What’s next from the marketing team at Dodge? Re-badge all the cars with ‘Cab Forward’ to once and for all squash the competition with advanced styling. Lets not also forget the special ‘Lean Burn’ engine tags on the side of the Thermoquad to make me feel good about clean cars. As a last resort maybe they can bring back the ‘K’ cars that saved the company the first time.
The Hemi was a bad ass motor, and something to be proud to own, not some late model fake out. And WTF, I liked the Plymouth Brand, that would be OK to bring back…

Well it finally happened, Diesel for $4 a Gallon

It finally happened, I paid over $4 a gallon for Diesel fuel. All the gas prices moved up a bit, but it seems that the Diesel grade took a big hit. I have never been sure why Diesel is more expensive then gasoline since it seems like it undergoes much less refinement then gasoline. What to do? Nothing. Swipe the credit card 4 times now to fill the 44 gallon tank. At least I don’t have to fill up that often and see the prices, but it does get old having to reach the $75 pre-auth limit on the credit car and only get about 19 gallons…
