Connie Connecting Rod was out doing a lot of hard work in one of the Mustang motors. Unfortunately for some of her friends she was chosen to go to Disneyland. As you could imagine they were a bit bent out of shape.

Ride to the Park

Connie got dressed up with a pretty purple bow for her exciting adventure at Disneyland. We jumped in the Excursion and headed out to Anaheim.

Parking lot Tram

We ran to the tram just to catch it before it left. Got lucky is was not super crowded. Sometimes it just works out where your timing is good.

Main Street Disneyland

Just entering the Main Street area. Always love this view. Connie said to stop for a minute so she could take it all in.

Lunch is the first stop

As in most of the Disneyland visits I like to bring my guest to lunch (or dinner) at the Plaza Inn. They have the best fried chicken, and it’s always a delight. Notice prices of the day.

Fried Chicken

While Connie is trying to stay slim and light, she made an exception for the Plaza Inn fried chicken after I told her how good it was. It did not disappoint. While Connie is often bathed in oil, the greasy fried chicked was a delight (in her own words!).

Connie and the Autopia

Connie being a motor head the first ride we had to go on was the Autopia. It’s the favorite of many that have visited with me over the years. Connie was no exception.

Autopia – Hammer Down!

After a short wait in line, we finally caught our ride! Connie wanted to drive, and I’m fine with that. We got going and out of the gate it was floored, I don’t think Connie knew that all the cars had a governor on them to keep the kids safe. Still was fun watching her mash the pedal in delight.

King Arthur’s sword or some such thing

I don’t remember much about these tales, other then someone pull a magic sword out of a stone. Connie being strong as steel wanted to give it a go. I didn’t want to spoil it that it only loosens a little and only now and again. Still everyone I have brought tries like the dickens to pull it out.

Wrapping up the day at Disneyland

Was an exciting day with Connie, had some fun on the Autopia, delicious fried chicken, and a few other moments. It’s always exciting to bring someone to Disneyland for the first time.

Hope you all have enjoyed a day at Disneyland with Connie Connecting Rod!
