It was later in the evening during the holidays when I took Patty Pinion out to to Disneyland. Patty had a bad break up with her Ex-husband (they were close) Ricky Ring Gear. Ricky got her all spun around and it was not a good scene. I figured this would be just what Patty needed, a trip to Disneyland!

The holidays At Disneyland

Entering into the park the first thing we always see is the wonderful Christmas tree.  This was a later afternoon trip to Disneyland, and it was a bit nicer showing up late as a lot of people were leaving as we entered the park.

First Stop Holiday Haunted Mansion

Right to the Christmas version of the Haunted Mansion. This would be something that I thought Patty would really enjoy. It’s fun, spooky, and has some of the Christmas spirit I think she needs. And who doesn’t like Sandy Claus!

Spooky Bats

The Haunted Mansion is full of surprises and little trinkets if you look around. Patty saw these spooky bats that were used for the rope partitions. How cool are these bronze bats!

Time for Mickey Mouse Pretzel

Patty wanted to grab a Mickey Mouse pretzel. I never had one so I figured what the heck let’s get a couple and see how they are. As you know Micky Mouse is not one of my more beloved characters, but I took a chance with Patty on this… They were delicious! We got cream cheese filled versions and they were hot and fresh, and that made them really yummy. I may be turning a corner on the Mouse after these.

It’s Really a small World after all…

Well you get the gist of things here, it’s really beautiful to see the Small World attraction (or is it ride) at night done up with all the lights. One of the

The Line to Space Mountain

It was an oddly long line to Space Mountain. Patty and I (or is that me and Patty?) zig-zagged though the line and finally got close to the entrance to the adventure.

Inside Space Mountain

Inside the mountain! Always loved the fun stuff that Disneyland and Imagineering did for all the rides, this one is no exception. Patty asked how the astronauts get in and out of the space ship that is in the building. I said, likely used the shrink ray from the old Monsanto ride, but was not really sure. When you get into the cars, don’t forget to look for a hidden Micky. Patty caught one that I had never seen before. (Hint, look at the speakers)

FantasyLand

Off to fantasyland, and for some reason everyone I bring tries to pull King Arthur’s sword out. Patty actually tried to pry it up, but I said that’s cheating. She had forgotten about her horrible ex-husband and almost thought she would take off her wedding right (you can see in this picture)

Wrapping up Another  Fun day at Disneyland

Was a really nice day at Disneyland with Patty Pinion.  We started later in the afternoon so it was a nice easy one, low stress and overall an easy day. We didn’t get to try the Fried Chicken, but we did have a delicious Micky Mouse Pretzel.

Hope you all have enjoyed a day at Disneyland with Patty Pinion!
