Sally Shifter arrive attached to a Tex Racing Gearbox (She’s a Texas gal), I had removed her since it was a dangerous situation to have her getting bent out of shape in my messy garage. While I had her off, I decided it was her time to make the trek to Disneyland. I told her it was “Lady’s day” but it really wasn’t. She needed a bit of convincing to go.

Tram Into the Park
Waiting for the tram to pick us up from the Micky and Friends parking lot. I usually go to OVERSIZED since I’m driving a large Ford Excursion. I will also toss the magnetic ham radio antenna on the back for an extra push for the oversized lot. Make for a quick walk to the tram. Being kind, seemed like the right way to treat a lady.
First Stop Innoventions
Usually it’s the Autopia that takes the first ride title, but not this time Sally wanted to move it up a notch and try something different. We ended up in the old GE Carousel of Progress, or America Sings building. It’s now called something cute ‘Innoventions’. They also had a robot there and his/her name was `’ASS-MO’, a strange name we both thought since he/her walked funny.
The Subs and I don’t mean the Sandwich
First off I will always call this the Submarine Ride. Still a fun ride, love how the lagoon is set up with lots of vibrant colors. So did Sally, but she commented that their were no Crawdaddys or Catfish to be seen. I said clearly it’s not that kind of lake, she laughed but was not amused.
Finally some southern looking stuff
Well not sure if it is or isn’t but looked like something she was interested in. We headed into the Haunted Mansion and found it to be a scary delight. Lines were minimal for some reason, so we didn’t have time to catch all the witty saying on the tombstones before you enter.
Food time
Sally had her fill of Fried Chicken when living in Texas, we decided to try the Pot Roast. I think their was a fancy French name for it as I recall since we were in the French Quarter Restaurant. It was a tasty treat, and a departure from the normal fried chicken I would have at the Plaza Inn.
Wrapping up the day at Disneyland
Sally was one of my more somber guests, hard to really tell if she enjoyed this kind of thing. Not everyone likes Disneyland (Hard to imagine that). I could see some things that were putting a smile on her face and her mood shifted now and again.
Hope you all have enjoyed a day at Disneyland with Sally Shifter Arm!
