Aston Martin DB7GT
A Small Collection of My DB7GT. I don't
expect to do too much stuff to it, but the few
things that I do are here. The first was a
stereo upgrade. The Becker and CD
Changer are not so hot, but the CD
Changer was plagued with problem due to
noise from the GT's vacuum pump which is
mounted in the rear of the car next to it. I
replaced it with a product called the Solisto.
Which is a MP3 player that support the
Becker Radio. I also have a Becker SatNav
system that was optional in some of the
cars. The Nav is Lame as it uses a simple
LCD display for directions but this head unit
has a CD player behind the face plate
instead of the Cassette unit. At some point I
may swap it out, but for now it stays. The
Nav unit was a pull from Nick Cage DB AR1
as I'm told...
Specs And Blurb Coming...

Aston Martin 2003 DB7GT Promo. I got this from an Aston Martin dealership well after the end of production of the
DB7. It came in a nice metal DVD case. Not as good as some of the newer ones, but a rare glimpse into the Aston
Martin Press Machine. And it does go as good as it looks. One of the last classics to roll out of the old Aston
Martin's to come out of the Bloxham facilities. The GT and the GTA (Automatic) were the last of the run and got
some special love by the engineering department at AM. This included revised suspension, frame supports, more
HP, 6 Speed American T56 gear box on the manual car, and a few key style changes that help reduce lift at high
speeds. This is one of my all time favorite Aston Martin automobiles.

The Solistio Box. Small size. The small shiny part on the left size of the Solisto is the USB 8gig
Flash key. That capacity has more then enough for about 900 songs. This unit plugs into the
Harness as if it were the CD Changer. You load the USB Key with your MP3 Songs in
directories that each hold up to 99 songs. The Becker in my car supported a 6 CD changer,
but the unit supports up to a 10 CD Changer. And when I plugged in the Solisto I got a reading
of 10 available on the Becker. Nice! No need for an Ipod, or adapter.
This is all you need to do! Move the RCA cables (Audio) to the Solisto and the DIN Connector
to the Solisto, all the rest is just figuring out where to put the unit. That's it. I used some double
sided tape and stuck it on the side of the battery and all done. The Solisto supports other
models of radios as well best to check their site for more info. Also the customer support from
Solisto was EXCELLENT. They had never tried it on a Becker in an Aston Martin and were glad
it all worked. They were very helpful and make a nice product. They are located in Germany
and the sale was very easy and shipping was surprisingly fast.  The Solisto Pro also support
an iPod interface for those that want to connect that up as well. I'm not sure of the functionality
of the iPod interface as the 2 main reason for using this was eliminate the need for another
iPod and retain all the stock controls of the Becker.
