How to Measure Wheel Bolt Pattern - 5 Lug Wheels

Having a mix of Chevy, Ford and other vehicles it's often confusing which bolt pattern fits what. If you are trying to find if a rim will fit your car this easy to use measurement will tell you . You could hit Amazon and buy one of these Wheel Gauge or Templates. They are cool and I'll likely get one at some point, but you really don't need one. It's really very simple to measure your wheels bolt patter with a tape measure or ruler. This is sometimes called the 'Bolt Circle' or some such thing. One other trick is to to use a straight edge block across the BACK of two of the lugs a and then set the ruler on that and measure up to the center of the bolt like in the picture. This will help give a nice flat surface to get a measurement on. Look at the second picture you will figure it out!

Done in the BIG EZ Read format.

For 5 Lug wheels its only slightly more complicated then the 4, 6, or 8 lug measurement.

You measure from the BACK of one lug (skip to next lug as shown) and to the CENTER of that lug. That should get you your bolt pattern measurement.
