Wheel Offset Examples
Fitting the correct offset rim requires a simple discussion on what is Positive, Zero and Negative wheel offset. This is explained as follows -
Positive Offset
This is where the mounting hub/flange of the rim is closer to the BACKSIDE of the rim as measured from the center of the rim.
Zero Offset
This is where the mounting pad is dead center to the rim.
Negative Offset
This is where the mounting hub/flange of the rim is past the center of the rim towards the outside edge.
After all this, it's much easier to show with a picture. Note the RED dotted line is the center line of the rim.
